ERA4Health Early Career Network
Are you a PhD student or early Postdoc* (less than 3 years active in research after PhD)** in an ERA4hHealth-funded project?
Would you like to
- Be part of an interdisciplinary network of PhD students and Postdocs from across Europe and beyond?
- Discuss your scientific field of interest and your project with them?
- Improve your skills beyond the science, for example presentation skills, grant writing, etc.?
- Have access to opportunities like lab exchanges or mentoring?
The ERA4Health Early Career Network aims to foster the interaction, capacity and growth of Early Career Researchers (ECR) involved in ERA4Health-funded projects. Different networking, training and capacity building activities dedicated to ECR will be organised and implemented during the runtime of the projects***. The activities will start/have started in summer 2024 – joining is possible any time.
If you are interested in joining the ERA4Health Early Career Network please complete the “Expression of interest” form and we will soon contact you with further information.

* We are expecting a lot of Early Career Researchers in the ERA4Health projects. For now, we are inviting the following ECRs to the “Core Early Career Network”: (I) all PhD students and (II) Postdocs who have been active in research less than 3 years after obtaining their PhD** at the start of the ERA4Health project. For other ECRs like Master’s students and more senior Postdocs only certain activities will be open and advertised separately.
** Active in research means a Postdoc or other research position in e.g. academia, industry, health care. Inactivity covers time spent e.g. on parental leave, civil service; this inactivity period will not count for the 3-year period.
*** Potential travel costs should be covered by the ERA4Health-funded projects.
